CONTACT YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS: NO TO OSCAR SIMPSON’S APPOINTMENT: GAME AND FISH DEPT!
Any action that you may able to do to block Simpson’s appointment will be a giant step for both the agriculture and wildlife industries.
We will give Oscar credit for stacking the annual meeting of the NM Wildlife Federation with his friends a few years ago and getting himself elected a president of the Federation, but in my estimation he has no concept of the issues and is a loose canon.
Ranchers have known Simpson for many years and of all the irrational appointments that Richardson has made to the game commission, this is by far the worst.
We are certain that you are aware that the game commission and the Game & Fish Department are in disarray and Simpson’s appointment can only make things much worse.
We have the slimmest chance of stopping Oscar’s appointment, these legislators are going to have to work behind the scenes.
Since the legislature is in session, and the members are extremely busy, I can only hope that the addressee’s will even take the time to look at their e mails.
Email, call, or write your elected officials and tell them you oppose Oscar Simpson as head of the New Mexico Game and Fish Dept.
